I can't follow F1. I just can't. I want to, but living in Florida while most races are overseas means crazy viewing hours, which, as young teen, are TOO crazy. You can't expect me to stay up for the Korean GP at 2 in the morning and get up for school at 7:30! Sorry for the rant/ramble, but I needed to get it out.

I don't have that problem.
I just don't like it.

Don't worry as a college student, I have the opportunity to do this but don't. Watching races on TV is boring. Going to races in person though is pretty much amazing.

Off topic, but do you still play KSP and Rig of Rods? I never saw a conclusion to the e30 build.

I have to "obtain" races later in the day. Currently catching up on the last couple.

I do have a DVR, and another big part is that I don't really have the time (or the attention span, lolselfmockery) to watch it. Watching DVR
not watching it < Watching DVR < watching it live < seeing it in person
I have a really obsessive personality. When I get into something, I get REALLY into it. The downside is at some point, with no warning, I'm done. Something else has usually taken hold. Right now it's GTA V and crippling depression. DVR - No? I didn't watch three whole seasons of F1 during my time in grad school. It just wasn't feasible to be up at ungodly hours since I was on the west coast and european races would be very early in the morning. So I totally understand. Kimi's absence may or may not have been coincidental. Hey, fight that depression, man! Don't let it get you down, like a free falling Kerbal on Eve. Get over it like a Kerbal jumping on Minmus! (Sees screenname). "Coincidental", you say? Just wait until you're a college student. Sleeping at irregular intervals is so common for me now. I still sleep at night on schedule, but sometimes I get caught up in 4 hour naps in the middle of the afternoon. Once you're in college, you have so much freakin' time to do classwork and if you're on top of your stuff, even with a job, having a social life. But the races are on weekends why would you have school the next day, yes the first practice may be on friday 2am in the morning but practice 3 is on saturday and qualifying as well, the european races are on sunday mornings, its no big deal if you miss the practice sessions, I watch them all but if you cant because of school, practice 3 and qualifying are on the first hours of saturday, you could watch those with no problems Church school. I'll just come out and say it. Download a torrent of the race. I'm quite lucky here (Australia). Most races are at 10pm on a Sunday night, so you're done by midnight. Asian races are on during the afternoon. However if I've had a significant Saturday and need my beauty sleep on Sunday, I just get a torrent of the recording. You can get decent quality HD versions, without any TV ads and usually with some of Sky 1's awesome coverage. As for the whole 'piracy hurts' argument - remember you're taking money away from Bernie. Surely that should justify it. Talking money from Bernie justifies practically anything. I know the obsessive personality game, right now I'm building a quadcopter, hopefully this ends before I spend too much money, or I actually finish one and have something cool... GTA V is cool, depression not so much. Stay strong mate. I'm also a teen, and while I understand that the live viewing hours can be crazy, the races are usually replayed during pretty convenient times of day. I ended up falling asleep while watching the Japan GP when it originally aired and waiting for it to reair later in the day. But on top of the timing issue, I just don't find it interesting enough. I wish I did though. I understand it all and its not hard to follow, its just Vettel dominating. I jumped on Minmus once. Once. This is what I do, except I selected the wrong time for the Japan GP and had to wait until the replay in the afternoon to watch it. I find it not that hard and am surprised how much I enjoy watching it on DVR. No commercials, can get the entire race in half the time. I even enjoy coming home on Friday and Saturday from work to watch the practice and qualifying. Still haven't came down, eh. :) It just happened to be concurrent. Atleast I was spared the worst of Vettel dominance. I watched schumi waltz away with wins. I didn't need to see a repeat.

:P
but seriously, I DVR the races because most of them don't start to 2-230am local time. I'll skip my morning run and watch them over breakfast.
